Proudly Okavango is a cozy self-catering accommodation designed for relaxation and immersion in nature. We offer a peaceful escape on the banks of the Okavango Delta, perfect for those seeking tranquility away from crowded tourist areas.

You will find us in Samochima, Botswana, right on the river bank in the Okavango Delta. It is a quiet, private setting with direct access to nature.

You can enjoy birding, boating, fishing, and forest walks. You can also relax by the river take an overnight trip on Miss Ellie (Min 3 days) and enjoy the wildlife around you. Visits to Tsodilo Hills a world heritage site and across the border to Muhungo game Park in Namibia can be arranged in advance.

You stay fully self-catering. You have kitchen basics, bedding, towels, electricity, a private outdoor area, fans in every room, and a small pool. For a small cost daily cleaning can be added as requested.

You can visit all year. The dry season gives clearer water and easier wildlife viewing. The green season brings rain, lush views, and more birdlife.

We are best suited for couples or solo travelers, but families can inquire about space for children (extra beds available). Unfortunately, we are not pet-friendly, owing to the Bushbuck roaming freely.

We have 3 private units. A tent with private ablution and a complete kitchenette. A studio apartment with private ablution and kitchenette. And a larger cottage with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen, and space for families or groups.

Yes. Limited groceries can be ordered at your cost. Please place the order at least 2 weeks in advance so it is ready in your accommodation on arrival.
